The Sunday Times

Recorded live at King’s College, Cambridge in 2015, The King’s Singers are as alluring as ever. They make a big leap between Renaissance masterpieces by Lassus, Byrd, Praetorius and Sweelinck, and seasonal items by Poulenc and Howells, before entering the close-harmony territory where they reign supreme. Here, Clive Smith’s clever setting of I Saw Three Ships finds itself thoroughly at home. All is given with that familiar, deliciously fragile refinement.

The Times ★★★★

As usual with this eternally-renewing 49-year old ensemble, the technique is impeccable

BBC Music Magazine

the King’s Singers in particularly fresh, spontaneous fettle

Music Web International

A gorgeous setting of a thanksgiving text by St Richard of Chichester… lifts the disc into the realm of the slightly special

The Arts Desk

This is mostly a commendably serious, brilliantly performed live recital… The King’s Singers current incarnation are in fine vocal fettle

Absolutely draws you in… the group has thought so seriously about how to make its distinctive sound work for each piece
