The Polish Subito Piano Trio made its debut at the Vienna City Festival (Stadt Fest Wien) in 2009, where they performed Debussy, Schubert and Andrzej Panufnik at the Vienna Center (Michaeler Platz).
All the Trio’s members have studied at the Chopin Music University in Warsaw. Magdalena Szczepanowska (violin) and Piotr Hausenplas (cello) are currently professors there. Lech Napierala, who lives in Vienna, is teaching at the High School of Music in Kracow. The Subito Trio have also performed in many of Poland’s most prestigious philharmonic and concert halls, specialising in the music of Andrzej and Roxanna Panufnik. For many years, they have taken part in the world-renowned Wakacje z Muzyka Polish Festival, in Nowy Sacz, where they give numerous concerts and masterclasses for solo instruments, lied, and chamber music.
Although each of the Trio’s members each have very intensive musical career away from ensemble, and live far apart, they regularly keep their passion and pleasure in making music together.
